About Us

Dr. Reid Chambers

BSc.,M.D., FRCS(C) Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Kawartha Plastic Surgery is a medical clinic located in Peterborough, Ontario. We offer a relaxing and comfortable environment with professional and courteous service. Dr Chambers treats a spectrum of aesthetic and non aesthetic medical issues ranging from excess skin to facial smash injuries require total reconstruction. Unlike some other clinics who have off site medical directors you never meet, consultations and injectable treatments are performed exclusively by Dr Chambers, a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and never delegated to nurses or non-medical staff.

Dr. Chambers received his undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Cellular Biology at McGill University, earning his BSc in 2003. Following completion of his undergraduate degree, he conducted research at the University of British Columbia and the BC Children’s Hospital before deciding to pursue a career in Medicine.

He attended the University of British Columbia Medical School where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD). He then pursued his residency training in Plastic Surgery at The University of Ottawa. His residency was a comprehensive program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery which included extensive training in Aesthetics. Following board certification from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS(C)), he chose to undertake additional sub-specialization in adult Craniofacial Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Toronto. During his fellowship, he trained at Sunnybrook Hospital with two of Canada’s top reconstructive and facial aesthetic surgeons.

Dr. Chambers has completed two international missions, one to Uganda to perform reconstruction on thermal and acid burn victims and a second to Kiev, Ukraine as part of a reconstructive team working on soldiers. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/ukraine-medical-mission-1.4010342

Jose Tyndall

Clinic Nurse/Medical Esthetician

Jose came to Peterborough 30 years ago and quickly found her passion for the medical field, specifically patient care. Embarking on a career in nursing, Jose worked at the Peterborough Hospital for 21 years before deciding to transition out of the hospital into an office based setting. She has a passion for working with people and is excited to translate this into medical aesthetics while also assisting in patient care and surgeries at Kawartha Plastic Surgery. We are lucky to have such an experienced and motivated nurse on our team!

Stephanie Dance

Medical Office Administrator

Stephanie has been at Kawartha Plastic Surgery for 6 months. Her favourite part of working at the clinic is interacting with patients on busy clinic days. Our favourite part of working with Stephanie is she is always happy and has a positive attitude. She’s also pretty darn good at her job! We find her very intelligent and an excellent problem solver; and also love hearing stories about her little girl! When she’s not busy being amazing at her job, you can find her hanging out with friends, family and her little girl!

Call us, and Stephanie will help you book a consultation and see how we can help you look and feel your best.
